Welcome to the 4thDaveBlog! You’ve got questions, I’ve got answers…
But, who *are* you? Who’s contributing to this blog?
Dave Mitchell — Dave is the blog’s eponymous creator (and goes by “@the4thDave” on Twitter). Dave has been blogging on and off for about 14 years, and one day hopes to be good at it. He currently lives in the humid Gulf Coast of Texas, where he is married to an incredible woman and is the proud owner of an incredible dog (by marriage).
Once in a blue moon, I’ll have friends contribute posts. They will be introduced when that happens. Other than that, it’s pretty much just me!
What can I expect to read on this blog?
Here, I discuss issues of the day, my experiences as a relatively-new husband, issues related to Christian theology and church ministry, and my love of good stories and good books. From time to time, I’ll also post reviews of new or upcoming books that I find interesting and hope you do, as well. The goal of all of these discussions will ultimately be to point you to the goodness and glory of our God and King, Jesus Christ. He’s the ultimate reason I do all of this.
How often should I look for new content?
I generally try to post every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, but it may be less often if life requires it. I’ll try to keep you up to day on any major interruptions.
One GREAT way to make sure you don’t miss any new posts is by following me on WordPress or subscribing by email. You can find both of those options at the bottom of the main page.
What if I disagree with what you’re writing?
I love comments! On the 4thDaveBlog, I definitely welcome conversation and even respectful disagreement with the following guidelines:
- Any comments that are insulting or abusive will be deleted.
- Any comments with profanity will be deleted.
- If you are unable to play nice, you will get blocked from commenting.
I am the ultimate arbiter on whether comments are allowed. My house, my rules. Thanks.
