#ThankfulThursday (Part 4)

76. Safe travel across country to visit my in-laws. The van’s running pretty smoothly, praise God!
77. Beignets at Cafe du Monde. So good.
78. Clear skies and open roads.
79. My God supplies all my needs. And He is faithful to always do so.
80. Can I list my wife again?  Because she’s such a daily blessing to me.
81. I have never known personal violence. I recognize this is a blessing, and that there are people in this country and around the world who live in atmospheres of violence on a daily basis. I don’t. For that, I’m thankful.
82. I’m thankful that my hope is not in a political party or a social movement or even my own two hands. My hope is in my King Jesus, who will return to do justice and settle accounts and establish peace.
83. My sister is getting married in less than a month. It’s a bittersweet thing, but I pray peace and joy and blessing on her home, and that the Gospel of Jesus would take root in her new family.
84. Sleeping in a warm bed. We met a guy in Orange, TX, who slept the night before under an overpass. He walked into Whataburger for a cup of coffee and some respite from the cold. I can’t imagine what that’s like.
85. Despite weather changes and environmental changes, I haven’t gotten sick yet this fall/winter. Praising God that my immune system is holding up.
86. My wife is sitting across the room, spending time catching up with a woman who has been pouring into her life for years. Thank you Lord for the people whom you have put in H.’s life to give her strength and shape her into the woman I married.
87. Godly grandparents and a legacy of faith.
88. Godly parents, and a living example of perseverance.
89. Godly pastors, teachers, and ministry partners, who love truth and love people well.
90. I’m not going to join the Black Friday madness, because I’m on a financial plan. There’s no stress involved with the thought of Christmas presents and Christmas bills.
I need ten more, but I think I’m about out of ideas. Can you help me out?
What are you thankful for this year?
